PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We offer a bespoke planning phase project management service, either as a stand-alone role or alongside our other services, to help deliver successful schemes through the planning process. We have successfully undertaken this role on projects with capital values running into the £100Ms and planning promotion budgets of several £Ms, as well as smaller scale projects.

We have found that where developer consortiums are promoting a scheme it can be useful to have a jointly appointed independent Project Manager to act as a single point of reference with the project team and liaison with the client group. Equally it can be the case that a client simply does not have the in-house resource to dedicate to the planning process and we can provide this for as long as required and to a brief or role that best suits the particular client organisation.

Where appropriate, we have also produced and implemented Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs) with Local Planning Authorities, building on previous work with ATLAS and the PAS in developing the planning performance agreement process.

In each case the aim is to bring planning applications forward on time and budget, resolving issues as they arise and working with the Local Planning Authority to ensure an efficient determination and where appropriate, discharge of conditions.

We are mindful throughout of the client’s development objectives and financial constraints and seek to adapt and negotiate the approach to the application and its implementation accordingly. Equally we establish when and how it is most useful to the client to receive communications as to progress, meeting formats and reporting formats.
