On behalf of Bloor Homes, White Peak Planning have submitted a full planning application to Central Bedfordshire Council for the development of 115 dwellings (Use Class C3), new vehicular and pedestrian access off High Street, public open space, sustainable drainage systems and ancillary infrastructure.
The application site is allocated for residential development under Policy MA8 of the Central Bedfordshire (North) Site Allocations Development Plan Document and forms part of the Arlesey Cross Masterplan.
White Peak were responsible for the preparation of the planning application and management of the project team throughout the planning-phase of the application.
Following receipt of a positive EIA Screening Opinion from Central Bedfordshire Council, we submitted a request to the Secretary of State for an EIA Screening Direction arguing that the proposals did not constitute EIA development. We subsequently received an EIA Screening Direction confirming that an EIA would not be required.
We will now continue to work with the Local Authority throughout the determination period with the aim of obtaining a positive decision later in the year.
