New Submission: Land west of Blasford Hill, Broomfield

White Peak Planning are pleased to announce Bloor Homes have submitted an Outline Planning Application for the Land west of Blasford Hill, Broomfield. We have supported Bloor Homes in a Project Management role for the last two years, managing and co-ordinating the project team, programme, and budget to deliver the planning application.

The site forms the Strategic Growth Site Policy 8: North of Broomfield, an allocation in the adopted Chelmsford Local Plan (2013 – 2036), for up to 550 new homes, a neighbourhood centre, and associated infrastructure.

White Peak Planning also contributed to the guiding Masterplan Framework for the allocation, producing a Sustainability Framework that details the objectives for the project. We also produced a Compliance Statement for an emerging local Supplementary Planning Document, ‘Making Spaces’. This document sets out the Commitments and Opportunities provided by the development to ensure it will deliver a high-quality and sustainable new community within Chelmsford.

The application was submitted in December 2020 and White Peak Planning shall continue to provide Project Management and technical support to the project team and Bloor Homes with the aim of achieving a positive determination later this year.
