New Permission – S96a Non-Material Amendment for Sandleford Park East

White Peak Planning are pleased to announce a success in the approval of an S96a application submitted to West Berkshire District Council. On behalf of Bloor Homes, we submitted the application seeking an amendment to one of the planning conditions that formed part of the Outline Planning Permission for their Sandleford Park East site in Newbury.

When the Outline Planning Permission was granted by the Secretary of State last year, the wording of the condition which set a time limit for the submission of future reserved matters applications was left open and vague, despite the Inspector recommending a different limit within their report. At the request of Bloor Homes, we submitted an application for a non-material amendment to this condition, with a view to providing a more definitive timeframe for the reserved matters application to come forward to the benefit of Bloor Homes’ commercial aims and their ability to provide new homes within the district.

Following public consultation, the application was approved by West Berkshire District Council in January. We now look forward to continue working alongside Bloor Homes to bring forward the reserved matters applications for this site.
