Happy New Year from White Peak Planning!

Now that we’re all back in the office, we’ve been looking back on our projects from 2021 with a little help from Planning Resource’s ‘December Insight Report: The Biggest Permissions of the Year’.  There are some sizeable schemes that we have helped get over the line, some of which are on the list and some which were unfortunately either missed off or were too late to be included.

Our joint largest permission of the year is #39 on the list, which was an outline permission for 1,000 dwellings at Basingstoke Golf Course.  We acted as planning-phase Project Managers on this, providing strategic planning advice and managing the project team on behalf of Bloor Homes.  Too late for the list was an outline permission for 1,000 dwellings at Land East of Horndean, East Hampshire, which was granted in late December and would have been joint #39.  We were initially acting as planning-phase Project Managers on behalf of Bloor Homes but were heavily involved in the planning application, as well as the drafting of planning conditions and the S106 Agreement.

Missing from the list, but which would have been #50, was a hybrid permission for up to 855 dwellings in Maghull, Sefton, where we acted as Planning Consultant and EIA Co-ordinator on behalf of a consortium of landowners.

Next is #51, which was a full permission for 841 dwellings in Maghull, Sefton.  We had many roles on this including Planning Consultant, preparing a Masterplan Report for the allocation and co-ordinating the EIA, on behalf of Countryside Properties and Persimmon Homes.  At #89 was an outline permission for 550 dwellings in Keresley, Coventry, where we co-ordinated the EIA on behalf of Bellway Homes.

Overall, and despite everything else going on, 2021 was a great year for White Peak Planning, with fantastic results on some of the largest schemes in the country totalling circa 4,250 permitted units!  Here’s hoping for continued success and further permissions throughout 2022.
