EIA Screened Out: Land north of Salisbury Road, Totton

On behalf of Bloor Homes and Barker Mill Estates, White Peak Planning has successfully screened out the need to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in support of a planning application for a proposed residential development of up to 300 dwellings at Land north of Salisbury Road, Totton.

The site forms the majority of the northern parcel of the Totton Strategic Site Allocation, which is proposed for allocation in the New Forest District Local Plan Review for at least 900 homes, a commercial core, and a community focal point. As such, we needed to demonstrate to New Forest District Council that the proposals were not likely to result in significant cumulative environmental effects with the rest of the allocation and that this scheme could be considered independently from it.

‚ÄčA formal EIA Screening Opinion was received in June 2020 and White Peak Planning shall continue to work with the project team and Clients with the aim to submit an outline planning application in August 2020.
